Lucas Neyt
b. 1940, Boekhoute · Lives and works in Bruges
Drawing rooted in the expressive power of line — form caught with immediacy and precision.
Influenced by Matisse, Picasso and Modigliani, Lucas Neyt draws consistently from nature — birds, insects and the human figure — translated into both figurative and abstract compositions. He works in pencil, ink and bistre, and signs simply as Lucas.
